  1. I am so very saddened to hear this news, but thank you for letting us. I send my deep condolences to you and your family.

What pleasure your mother brought to many folks like myself who were fortunate to have connected with her via her excellent blogging posts. Although I never met her in person, I feel that I have lost a good friend.

    Best wishes.

  2. I am so sorry to hear your sad news and send my sincere condolences to you and your family. I have long followed your mother's very informative blog. I did have the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth at the last Rag Market she held in Bradford on Avon in June 2014. She managed to squeeze me and my textiles into a last minute space in the Mason's Hall. It was lovely to meet her at last and be guided through her vast collection of textiles in.the wine cellars of her home. I hope that you wiLL leave the blog up for a while at least as I would like to revisit many of her wonderfully interesting entries. She was such an inspiration. With best wishes , Cecile.

  7. Dear Zani,

have just read your post with much sadness,I was lucky enough to spend numerous happy visits with Buffy both at Freshford and Bradford with particularly fond memories of a lunch with her and your father. Her passion and knowledge will be sorely missed and I will treasure my many fond memories of special visits which always resulted in a collection of lovely finds all of which continue to make our home so inviting. Our thoughts are with you all.

  8. Thank you for letting us know about your mother's passing. I have followed her blog for some time and especially enjoyed hearing about her visits to France and her many textile finds. I have always liked ticking fabrics and she had a nice collection it seemed. Her Rag Markets always sounded so interesting, also, and were something I had wanted to attend, but never made it to. My condolences to you and the family.~Christine

  12. Dear Zani,
I hadn't gone on your Mother's website for a while, so didn't know til now she was gone.
I loved meeting her at her home many years ago when in England. We drove from London to Bath then shopped by telephone and email. She would take a wheelbarrow to the post office with all the upholstery & drape material.
I thought her a most amazing person.
My heart goes out to your family

  14. I'm so sorry, but thank you so much for making the post. I stumbled on another blog a couple of months ago where the lady had been quite active ... then nothing. I suspect she passed as well. Sympathies on the loss of your mother. She seems like an awesome womman.
